Im going to have an alarm installed on my 03 nissan altima with the remote start tomorrow... The guy that is installing it said he needs to use 556uw immobilizer unit ... I have two lcd transmitters, But someone said I cannot use both lcd transmitters with that 556uw immobilizer unit. My question is, is that true or am I being misled ?

wth? lol the transmitters have nothing to do with the 556u LOL. And why would you use a U for that car? That would mean you would have to bury a key in a box. Don't do that.

FORTIN: use a KEYOVERIDEALL

The installer is not bsing you.  They might not have access to a keyless bypass like the fortin peice mentioned.

Exactly wha dswift mentioned with the KEYOVERRIDEALL module.  Or you can use bypasskits or idatalink comparable models.  The guy may not be trying to b/s you just that the 556u is the easiest way to interface an immobilizer bypass.  That or he just doesnt know about the data bypass modules that do not require a key in a box.

The 556u isn't just the easiest but IMHO the most reliable way of doing it. Some shops(ours included) will only do a Nissan using a 556u. The guy isn't BSing you it's just the way he does them. As for losing a key, big deal. You can get them on Ebay for under 20 bucks....

But my question was am I going to be able to use both lcd transmitters for the remote start ???
