When I first got the Jeep.... it chirped once when I locked the doors by remote (hitting number ONE) & it chiped twice on unlock. My little red light in the dash used to blink too but now it stays on constant unless I start the car.... I must have screwed this up when I was playing with the remote seeing what each button does.

All I know is it has an alarm & remote start installed... both works. I can hold ONE down on the remote & the alarm sounds in panic mode & if I hit ONE & TWO together... it starts the car. It is a FOUR button remote.

I just want my chirp sound back. It really isnt a big deal but Id just like to hear the chirp.

Theres a black box under the dash with wires & plugs in it... it says Viper on it so is that where the Valet switch is SUPPOSE it be? because its not there. Now there is a small square cut out in the box with a black wire running into it... but no switch.

the valet switch could be hidden anywhere or the installer didnt bother to put one in for you.

since you not sure were the valet button this be a good time to find it and know how it works. if your car is armed and the remote battery dies or broken or if you lose your remote your not going to be able to drive your car.
to fine it look for the alarm itself it be under the dash some were, follow a black and gray wire that be your valet.
also you may have 2 button one be for VCS ( that may not be installed) you can down load the manuals for that.
the small black wire that is not connected to any thing is your antenna leave that alone
but on viper look at all the wire plugs into u see a small blue one that shoudl have a black and a gray wire coming out that is your valet button

WOOHOOOO!!! I FINALLY found the valet button. Now everything is back to working as it was when I bought the car.

THANK YOU everyone!!

Now... if you dont mind... please explain this...

I have an extra remote... the light on the remote comes on when I push a button...but nothing happends.  What do I have to do to get this remote to work. I think it would be a good idea to have a working spare remote.

Thanks again for all your help!

you could try to reprogram it.
have the drivers door open.
turn the ign on
press the valet button once and release it. press it again and hold it. you should hear 1 chirp
press lock on the remote and you should hear another chirp
turn off ign and make sure the remote works.
