i have a 12" hifonics brutus its a 2ohm dvc i have it wired in parrell any suggestions on an amp?

i was thinking something between 800-1000w but nothing ridicouls price its for my girls car

Well that sub is rated at Hifonics 600 WRMS, or in the real world 400 WRMS, so I would look for a 600 WRMS Hifonics amp, or a 400 WRMS real amp. Since it's not for you, I would probably say stay on the cheap and go with a Hifonics amp, the BXi 608, or BXi 606 would work perfectly at 1 ohm, and they go for around $150 on e-bay.

well i deff not runnin hifonics amp i learned my lesson on those they blow quicker than fireworks i just found a kenwood excelon kac-x10d mono it can hold a 600w rms at 1 ohm so i just rewie the sub at 1 ohm and the amo only 175 so think made my mind up not unless anyone heard bad of these amps

Your correct, that amp will be much better than a Hifonics amp, but it might be too much for that sub, so keep the gain lower then it should be set at, I don't know your girl friend,but every girl I ever installed for has no freeking idea what clipping is, the just crank the crap out of it till it blows, so keep the gain lower so that does not happen unless you have a girl that knows what she's doing.

funny thats how my girl blew my first three twelve's she cranked all the way up when she took my car to the store then came back and said it smell like somethings burning in your car.
