I have a Pioneer DUH-P5000UB deck and a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2-dr. Is there anything special about wiring up this deck in this vehicle? This is the second deck I'm trying as the first one was DOA. The second one is doing the same thing. What it's doing is....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ! no lights, no sign of life.. I can't believe that I got 2 DOA decks in a row. Wiring is simple as i ran speaker wires from the amp directly to the speakers. Thanks in advance for your help.

are you using a harness or atr you splicing into the factory harness with this?   yellow from deck to red of factory harness,  red from deck to orange of factory harness,  ground to ground.   check your fuses and your wiring.  possible that you just have a fuse out.  does your dome light still come on?
you can do it....
advanced MECP, lol does it really matter....

That would be Yellow from deck to Orange of factory harness.  And red from deck to Yellow of factory harness.

Did you try using a volt meter to verify that you are getting power and ground to the deck?

Thanks all for the replies. I found out what the problem was. The freakin' wiring diagram that i printed from this website was wrong. It was for a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2-dr 4WD. The acc wire on the harness is actually green. We checked each individual wire and found the one that has power when the key is on and no power when the key is off. phew!!!  Glad i found that. Installed everything and the freakin' system CRANKS !!! WHAT a difference a 12" subwoofer makes. Holy crap!!  Thanks all again.
