As stated above, just about everybody makes a kit for this vehicle. It takes the place of the cassette deck, the CD player will mount in the middle of the dash. There is also a kit that allows you to remove the Radio Control piece. When you purchase the kit it would really be worth it to get the 15 dollar harness also. And a 6 dollar antenna adapter. Your radio has 3 separate parts, the 2 that you see, and a tuner/amplifier that both of those pieces plug into. The wires that mate up with the harness are on top of the tuner/amp module. You can remove this piece, or just simply unplug the wires from the top of it. 2 Nuts to remove it,(if I remember correctly) one at firewall and one at the other end of the metal bracket that the tuner is mounted to.
