alpine nve n872a software upgrades?

hey guys, its been a while since ive been here! ive searched back a few months worth of pages in this forum, checked alpines site, and googled - but couldnt find any info about this. i have the alpine nve-n872a nav system (got it the week it came out around christmas of '05). the 1.0 software is what... about 3 years old now? too many new streets and changes going on in my neck of the woods. id love a software upgrade! does anybody know if new software has been released, or, if not, have any information/links on when it may be released or where i can buy it?2015 4Runner TRD Pro

all, i just found a link on alpines website (click here to see) that says that they released new nav software in january for the NVE-872A with a model number of NVD-A802 (my current software owners manual says NVD-A801, so this makes sense) but i thought i heard somewhere that they had another release last month... can anybody confirm that the NVD-A802 is the LATEST software for my navigation, or confirm that there has been a release since? thanks again!2015 4Runner TRD Pro

ok, in regards to my last post, make that january of 2007, not 2008! better link there has got to be a more recent version of software than january of 2007! anybody?2015 4Runner TRD Pro

ok. well i finally got my answer. after 3 tries i was able to get through to Alpine over the phone. I called the Navigation Tech Support # and the guy confirmed that the current version of software is NVD-A802, which was just released about 6 months ago (it had a late release) and he also confirmed that Alpine wont make another update until at least the middle of 2009, so i guess im going to go ahead and get this. $300...2015 4Runner TRD Pro

Does anyone know if  these new map discs will work on the older models like the nve-n852a?
