Iight well im looking at the Kole Audio KX1-4000D amp and im wondering how much watts it will put out hooked up to two dual 2 ohm subwoofers. The amp puts out 2200 RMS at 1 Ohm. So im not sure what it will put out. Does anybody have an educated guess at what it will put out. Thanks

That is what it is going to put out to those particular speakers.

(2) 2ohm DVC's can be wired into either a 0.5ohm or 2ohm configuration. If you wired them into a 2ohm load then the amp would produce 850 watts per sub (1700 watts total).

Do you already have the (2) 2ohm DVC subs? If not then you could get (2) 4ohm DVC subs instead and wire them into a 1ohm load with that amp. That would get you apx. 1100 watts per sub.

1700 is a lot of watts for $250.   class d amp wattage x2 subs - Last Post -- posted image.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Which is a REALLY nice way of saying "it probably ain't"... No way is that amp 1700 watts, man.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Yea i understand that the amp may not actually put out that many watts but i was just wondering how much it could put out for 2 subs if that wattage was true. I believe i am just going to stick with the Orion HCCA-D2400 amp and the Orion HCCA 15.2 .

Add up the fuses, multiply that total by the voltage at the amp terminals, and then multiply that total by  .80 and that will be the MOST the amp can produce
