It will not hit as hard as the 4 Ohm woofers did.  But it will hit longer than a day or 2.  And believe me a day or 2 is all your amp is going to last.

That is because with that amp and 2 woofers, to get the most out of them, they need to be dual 4 ohm coils.  With dual 2 ohm coils, the way you have to wire them, the amp is not making the power it was making with the dual 4 ohm speakers.

I completely agree with what "i am" said.....you need to match up your amp perfect with your subs!  obviously the person that sold you those subs wasn't to interested in the amp you were gonna connect them too!  People always come in here and say...."if I get four of these subs, it'll bump pretty hard huh?"  completely ignorant about car audio.

it doesn't matter how many subs you have necessarily, it matters more to match your amp with your subs properly!

anyways.....a good amp would probably be the alpine pdx1.1000.....it can put out 1000 watts RMS no matter if you have it wired for a four ohm load or a 2 ohm load...if I remember right!!

...half of the truth can be worse than a lie. <----Roger Russell said that..
