I have 2 15" loudspeakers that i want to setup in my van. I dont care about the bass output from these 2 woofers because i already have 2 subs. Midbass will be fine but I am aiming more toward clarity. So should i go with free-air or a box for them?

it all depends on the speakers. do you have any, or know any of the specifications of them?

The only thing that i can remember about them was that there were 8ohms/ and the sensitivity was about 97db and they are 300W RMS per speaker.

What kind of sound are you looking for...clarity as in sound quality over sound quantity? (sq or spl)

Free Air in a Van. This means building a wall, cutting holes in the floor or cutting large holes in your side panels. I think the question should be sealed or ported? The driver's specs decide what will work best. Adding speakers does not insure clarity. What other speakers, amps etc are you using?

I am looking for Sound Quality.
My current setup is 4 Alpine type R coaxials, 2 15" PA woofers (1 in a ported box and 1 in free-air propped against my sub box and my 2 kicker L5s.
The door speakers are on my 4 ch. Power Acoustik amp and the 2 PA woofers are on a separate amp at a 4ohm load.
I want to know what will sound better before i began to make things permanent.
Thanks in advance.
