I have a 93 Honda Accord 5 speed and was woundering if i can add a Remote Start. Ive done remote starts on Automatics but never on manual transmission. If possible what changes in the installation and what do i have to look for in a remote start. Thanks

I would recommend a starter designed for a manual transmission or getting an interlock add on. It will keep the car from running away.
Other than the normal automatic wiring, you will need to bypass the clutch, tap the e-brake and the door pins.

Compustar, Astroflex, Ultrastarter, and even DEI have models designed for manual trans.

Make sure you spend the money on one of these models...don't attempt to "modify" a unit NOT made for

maual trans. (I would buy an Astro)

A manual transmission starter will only work when it's in reservation/ready to start mode. To put it in that mode is very easy and becomes second nature after the first few days. The only way the car can be in ready mode is if it's in neutral which makes the starter very safe. opening a door will cancel ready mode. also you will have to bypass the clutch.
Have you ever seen an Acura with them butterfly doors???
