I ran into the same problem on a 99 range rover.  try this:cut the factory ignition wire and install a diode in line with the band facing the keyswitch side.  connect your remote start wire after the diode and that should solve it.

what's the reason for that, and how does it relate to the starter grindiing, and you split the ignition line and placed a diode,1996 range rover, autostart remote start - Page 2 - Last Post -- posted image. what can i say you learn someting new everyday.

thank you guys

i conver the ignition and acc and starter from + to -  like how its in this site  with relays of cours   if  someone of you guys tell me the wiring information my solve the problem i cheket too many site for wiring diagram and every site tels difrrent information  it is 1996 this site provide diffrent information about 1995 range rover and the software that i have it says other information  the wiring color from ignition cylinder  it change the color when the go to anothe plug and realy i am completly confuuuuused

again help please

umm have u tested ur wires before connecting, or did u connect as per ur wirin diagram.

all these suggestions don't even mention the tach programming. I know it's obvious but have you checked that? is your tach wire even hooked up? or are you using voltage sense?

he said he had the tach wire hooked originally, but even if that were the case, y is it still grinding when he removed the starter wire hooked up to the unit. hmmmmmmm

all i need nowwiring information for this car the car still waiting to be fixed  tech wire its hoocked up  the remote starter is auto start  fm is avery good one i  did test  to another car  same  unit it works perfect  i put it back in this  car  still grinding

i did post  this  befor please i need  help with  this  car its  range  rover  4.0  SE  1995  the wiring diagram  says  the  12 volts  has to be  nagative  so  what  about  the ground  wher  to be conected   and i need the diagram please
