Hi all.

I just received (2) JL Audio 10W7's that I plan on putting in a sealed fiberglass enclosure in my 350z. I am a bit unsure how to power it however. I want to stick with JL products.

My question is, should I use (1) JL 1/1000 to power both? Or should I use (2) JL 1/500 to power each one? If I had a money tree in the backyard, I'd have (2) 1/1000 powering each one, but the funds just aren't there. I am just curious if there are any advantages of using an 1/1000 to power one, versus 2 1/500 to power each one, or vice versa.

Obviously, my goal is to have the best sound, and loudest thumb possible.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Use the single amp approach.  Easier to set up, easier to install, less chance for errors.  Then if you feel the need to upgrade later you can.

Thanks for the reply.

Honestly, I'm not really concerned about the ease of install, etc. I'm just curious if I'll have better quality sound using a dedicated amp for each.

Thanks.

Probably not, or at least not nearly enough to justify the expense.

If you are in a sealed enclosure and want the very best sound, I would go with (2) HD 750/1s. W7s tend to be a little power hungry in sealed boxes.
There is no such thing as free installation!
