Trucks remote start always worked. Just recently, when I remote start, truck just starts for a second and shuts off. I tested the ignition wire from the alarm to the ignition and it shows power, until the truck starts then it cuts out, causing the truck not to start. This occured out of no where. Any suggestions?

  • Make/Model vehicle
  • More specific on your wire definition(ie. color)

It could be a loose connection, at the vehicle ignition wire.(ie not soldered and vibration)

Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.

Which year would that be? They made them for quite a few years.

What color wire would that be?

  • There is no ORANGE ignition wire on that vehicle. It is PINK, which could be your problem. There may also be a 2nd ignition wire, which is WHITE.
