I bought the PKUCH2X to bypass the key and to activate the mux. I am beginning to wonder if this is the correct unit for the patriot.
The unit seems to program to the jeep as I can hold the unit up to the key hole and put a key without a chip in and start the car. Move the unit away and try to start with the same key and the jeep just dies right after start.
When all the wires are hooked up the unit will turn the car on correctly but when power is applied to the violet wire the car just turns everything off.
What am I missing? At this point with with the unit obviously programmed as a third key to the car should I not be able to basically "hot wire" the car and start it with just this unit?
Any help would be appreciated
Joe

Are you referring to the purple wire on the module? That wire is supposed to be wired to the starter output of the remote start module, are you saying when you wire those two together it doesnt work?? Did you wire the PKU module correctly (break the MUX wire in half) Green goes to key cylinder side of MUX and Violet/White goes to BCM side of Mux wire??

Ok First I had it all hooked up to the alarm and nothing so then I decided to try confirming this unit alone works. So what I tried was:
1)Grounding the Black and Brown.
2)Connecting the Green to the switch side of the Mux wire and the Violet white to the computer side of the MUX after cutting the Mux wire.
3)Applied twelve positive to the red and pink wire
At this point the vehicle acts as if the key is in it and turned to the on position.
At this point if I then apply twelve pos to the violet wire should the vehicle not start?
What happens is all the lights on the dash go completely off at the point positive is applied to the violet wire.
