do i include the port in the box size?

hey im building box and im not sure if the port is included in the total box size. i have one 12 inch L7. im building it per kickers spects at 3.25 cf.  now i calculated the port taking .33 cf of airspace.  so should i build the box at 3.25 + .33 = 3.57 cf or is the port airspace already accounted for so i should build the box 3.25cf. how big shoud i build the box? 3.57 cf or 3.25cf.  thanks

Yes, include the displacement of the port and your bracing (and the woofer) if you want the enclosure size to be correct.Support the12volt.com
