Depends on the speakers but I would go for the 6-15's more surface on the speaker so more air movement.
How much effect does the vehicle have on your peak abilities? Like those vans that are striped, all the vibrating metal cuts the db level down no? Can you increase pressure by containment? Like a truck with a thick bed cover ported into a standard cab.
This is what I do for FUN!

Will with the vans you have to put sound deadener before even starting this. From the back to my B piler, I have lots of sounding deadening. (roof, floor and walls and wish someone would make sound deadening for windows too). Everything still moves because of the air moving but nothing rattles. I have build some trucks that only the port was in the truck. (95 ford ranger with 6-18's in the bed and the port in the middle) Insanely loud. But he had a fiberglass lid reinforces with the second skin and expanding foam. Don't know what he hit but a way to a comp he rolled his truck.
Back to the first question? Stopping everything from vibration could increase your car/truck Db by 3 or more Db. Don't quote me on this for official Db numbers but just in all the years I have build and install I have see them numbers increase just by adding sounds deadening.
Hope I answer your question if not Let me know what you are asking about and maybe I can spend some light on it.

While you can do it a couple different ways?
You can face thing up and dynamat and foam in the truck to stop the body panels from flexing.
You can face them down for a stealth look.
you can make the rear seat go down and face them forward.
Every question and answer is up to how much work you want to do.
How much room?
Can You do it or have someone do it?
Do you want to do it?
