Anyone want to build a real beast?  My friend Kevin Haskins of Exodus Audio is about to release his new 21" super subwoofer.  Should be a killer.

Wonder how these would stack up to the JL Audio Gotham / Fathom subs (assuming these are for home use)? I can't imagine having a 21" sub to play with. That would be sweet!

Not sure if this was posted here or another forum, but here is a link to an article about a tour of the JL Audio facitlies and how / where they build their home subs.

Home use sure due to their size, but there is no reason you couldn't use one in a car if you can make the enclosure fit.

MSRP? Available now? :) Any parameters around?
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

MSRP will be around a grand.  Available within two weeks.  The initial production run is on the Klippel this week.

Here's a quote from Kevin Haskins on that very topic:
"A single Maelstrom 18" with a pair of 18" Passive Radiators would demolish a 3-4 Fathoms though and occupy less space.   A Maelstrom-21" with a pair of 21" Passive Radiators is yet another step up the food chain for not much more money."

Thanks, Steven. Yeah, from a price standpoint I don't think there would be a comparison either; I think it's $10000 - $12000 for a Gotham. A Maelstrom, with a pair of PR's and the box & amp, maybe not so much.

Kevin just told me the list price on the 21-inch Maelstrom will be $595.
