I have two problems, which may be symptoms of the same problem or different problems.
PROBLEM ONE: The sound coming from my speakers will randomly stop. The head unit will continue to operate. After a seemingly randomly short period of time (less than a minute), the sound will resume.
PROBLEM TWO: I am getting a noise like static from the tweeters on my front components. It only happens when the engine is on. The noise increases when I "rev" the engine. The noise is independent of the fader or balance controls on my head unit. It is the same noise regardless of sound level, right/left, or front/back. Again, when the engine is off and audio running off of my battery, it sounds great. No Noise.
I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla.
HU: Pioneer DEH-P500ub
Parrot ctk3000 evolution hands free kit (wired to its own speaker)
Boston Acoustic components in front
Pioneer speakers in rear
These speakers powered by Phoenix Gold RSD 500.4 (4 channel)
Phoenix Gold 10" sub powered by Phoenix gold 300.1 amp. monoblock
Thanks for your help.

Thank you for your response, but I'm a little unclear about it. Are you saying that the RCA shield repair should fix both of these problems or only one of them?
Thanks

So I replaced the Pioneer Head Unit with an Alpine cda-9886. Same noise, same random stopping. So it's not the head unit.
A little help please.
