But then again, if you alarm triggered with the door input not connected....check your hood pin switch connection or you may have a defective brain.......

yeah, i didnt read the part where u say u dont have thedoor hooked up and still u get a falsing, than its a bad brain, try this with a disconetc everything from the brain and with the metal part of the screw driver touch all the pins this will short all the pins out and hoppefully will reset the brain.

Strange question, what did you do with your negative door trigger input?  a floating ground can easily do this....you may need to connect it to 12v to make sure it does not pickup anything....if it has been cut and taped against other wires, they might be touching and also creating the problem.
