New to the forum - what a great service.
My question - does anyone know the wiring for the steering wheel mounted cruise control? ie; How can I tap into the wiring harness & what are the wire colors?
I have the new style body, 2500HD truck.

What are you trying to do? Add a cruise or use the existing cruise control switches for something else? If you want to add factory cruise control, you must get it done at a GM dealer.

Actually I want to do the second - use the existing switches for something else. I want to wire the CC "cancel" button as a security "kill switch" - ie; you have to be pressing it while you turn the ignition to engage the starter - otherwise - no start. I'm willing to sacrifice the "cancel" button as it's just as easy to turn CC off, then back on as it is to "cancel" then back on.

The Gray wire in the first connector (green)of the BCM is the cruise signal wire. The cruise uses a resistor ladder circuit to control the cruise. That wire also handles all the other cruise functions. Adding resistance to this circuit will eliminate your cruise.
