The GMBP is discontinued but is still listed on the Bypasskit website as an option for many PL II vehicles. Can we use a GMDLBP on these vehicles even though it is not listed if all we want it to do is bypass the Passlock or Passkey circuit? (not do doorlocks)

If it will work, do we just disregard the vehicle platform selection?

It will work fine. If you don't hook up the lock/unlock wires it just won't attempt to send any lock/unlock commands to the databus.
I'm not sure how you would program it. Mode 5 says Paslock only. I would probably try that.
Are you trying to use it on a vehicle that does not have power locks?

Yes platform 5 is what you use for vehicles not listed.

Thing with the gmpdbp is that it dosn't lose programming when power is disconnected like the gmbp does.

thanks guys... i have a ton of them in stock..... so programming Mode 5 should cover PL II and PK/PK3 vehicles? even if not list on the mode selection list (Montana van, Venture, etc, etc) basically any vehicle that lists a GMBP as a viable bypass?
