Installing Audiovox Prestige remote start. Have tach wire hooked to Gray/Red wire on Coil Pack. Unit does not seem to learn tach input. There are 3 other wires on coil. I dont know if I should keep looking? Manual says tach should be (-).

were you able to get a useable tach signal from the coil pack? if not you can get it from an injector.

Yes, I finally was able to use Blue/tan wire at coil. Tach was learned in about 10 seconds.

Tested system and it works great. Soldered all connections and in the process to bundling wires and tucking away. The one thing that this system doesnt have is horn honk confirmation with lock/unlock, just parking light flash. What I was wondering is if I can run relay to (-) horn off of lock or parking lights. But if I use parking light for relay what happens when remote start turns on and pk lts are on continuously?

are you using the negative parklight activation? yes, you could use a relay off the park light output from the remote start unit to trigger the horn. wire the relay using the "constant to momentary" setup (see the relay section if you are not sure). using the constant to momentary setup will allow it to not be honking the horn the whole time the the Caravan is remote started and it will also give you a a confirmation honk when it starts (cool huh?). play with the capacitor values because you will only want a split second of honking (a full 0.5 seconds of horn honking can seem like forever). also i suggest you use a diode to isolate the parklight output wire from where you are tied into the Caravans parklight wire so that when you turn on the parklights/headlights using the switch on the dash you dont get a horn honk, only from the remote start.

Thanks Ckeeler.  I will start planning this out and do it this weekend. while I got you here , my next remote start will be my father's 99 Ford Contour

I plan on using a  Ultra Start  G-11 and a 555PW that I got from friend. Do you have any experience with a bypass like this? This is the first install that I have done that requires a bypass.
