Is this just like an inline fuse? Or does it serve a different purpose? Also I am going to add some more things as I come across. I think this would be a great place to post about actual things you dont know what its used for like what purpose it serves.
Thanks!

CBs (Circuit Breakers) in general:
It's like a re-useable fuse.
It will behave differently - better or worse - but that shouldn't matter for cable protection.
It may have higher resistance than a fuse.
Can I add "Stiffening Capacitors" to this thread - ie "what USEFUL thing its used for?".
Just kidding - I'm fresh off another thread....
i am an idiot

As stated earlier, it is basically a resettable fuse.  If you are pulling anywhere near 150 amps through the device, you WILL have problems in the long run.  We have tried thm from all the manufacturers.  Same results, fine for a month or 2, then they came back.  If it were there just to protect the wire, they would be great.  Since the amps have to play through it, not so great in the long haul.  You would be much better off with an ANL type fuse.
