Its the way you connect a bypass module (wire to wire) or (data to data)

D2D whenever I can. If I run into problems where D2D doesn't work, then I change modules and try again in D2D and if that doesn't work I resort to W2W. Using D2D saves time and makes us money in the shop. When it takes 20 minutes to do a new Dodge in D2D as oppose to 2 hours in the traditional wiring method, it's a no brainer.

d2d - data to data which is a 4 pin connector that allows all digital communication between alarm/rs to the bypass module.

w2w - wire to wire traditional involving wiring output of the alarm/rs to the input of the bypass or data module.

hey guys it been awhile since Ive been on. My question is where do I find the low can and high can wires( twisted together they say)? I know I see the obd2 plug under the steering wheel area which has wire coming from it. but not sure what color. my canmax400 diagram which is the type b install says the the can low is white, WHITE/ gray or white pink, which I dont see none of these colors. the can high is WHITE/ orange which I dont see. it says kick panel, I dont see anything there. These are the last to wires I need to hook up. also does any of you guys every cut the factory ignition wire for the starter kill? the green wire from the remote start do you guys hook it up or just leave it unhooked?
