Hello All,
I installed a pioneer GMD7500M Amp and the customer wanted to be able turn the amp on/off on command. So, like most amps I installed a switch under the dash to turn on/off the remote wire. The amp has an auto turn on feature. I thought if the amp saw the remote wire was there then it would turn off, but it doesn't. Any bypass ideas??
Thanks in advance.
Mike

Pac-audio.com makes an inline volume control.  It connects in the RCA cable and can turn the volume all the way down.  I do not remember if it is the LC-1 or the LC-2.  One of them is just an RCA volume control.  The other is a line-out-converter with integrated volume control.

Maybe not your first choice but swap amps since all the wiring is done. Anything without the auto-turn on feature would be a drop in replacement. I understand this may not be possible but it could save more headache trying to work something else out with PAC accessories.....
