I installed an Audiovox CCS-100 cruise on a street rod several years ago and I also installed the stock appearing wiper stalk rather than the dash control on/off, set/resume switch. The unit has worked OK til recently. It took an abnormal amount of pressure on the set button and the only way it would work for a while was when I used the resume slider switch on the wiper stalk. Then it stopped working altogether. I went through with a volt/ohm meter and everthing checks out. I then reinstalled the dash switch and disconnected the wiring from the wiper stalk so now I can at least see that there is power to the unit. I then checked the vacuum hoses and the magnet and speed sensor all to no avail. The unit does turn on and off but will not engage. What else can I check? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
