OK, folding mirrors 101....
My knowledge is rather limited since they've only recently come about on European vehicles, I'm limited to grey import Japanese but here goes.
Most common type;
Think of the switch as an electric window switch with the motor wires at rest either sitting on ground or open circuit.
The actual switch will probably be a momentary driving a timed, latching circuit but that's not important we're looking at the motor wires.
On activating one will always go to ground and obviously the other will show 12 volts. If you assume a timed latching circuit and resting at ground, use the door lock pulse to activate your timer relay e.g. 528t to fold in. If the wires sit open circuit you will need 2 x 528t. to ground the return wire.With the wires at ground, you just need to leave the switch permanently in the unfold position, turning on the ignition will automatically unfold it.
The second method is used on some Mitsubishis, apply a 1 second pos pulse to either of the two trigger wires to fold or unfold.
The third method is used on the latest Euro cars and uses data triggering...don't touch it.
Would the mods please post this as a sticky, I'm getting tired of answering idiot questions about mirror folding when the posters aren't even testing...just look for the bloody motor wires and tell me what they do!

I'm a fool, there's an even simpler way of doing this if you're starting with an alarm.
Just use a timed (about 4 seconds) aux output to trigger a SPCO mini relay (circuit board type, diode the coil) if both sides rest at either neg or pos.
If both motor wires are open circuit, (Toyota) use 2 minis!
