viper 3002 shock sensor

I’m not happy with the sensitivity of the dual stage sensor. This sensor (i.e., Stinger DoubleGuard Shock Sensor) is built-in on the module. At first, I’ve tie strapped the module to a stiff wire loom. At the highest sensitivity I could not get a warning chirp when I bump the base of my palm on the pillar. So I tried to tie strap to a metal plate that is behind the driver’s dashboard lower cover (I have an 05 Accord). Still not satisified with the result. Shock sensor did not trigger a warning chirp when I tried to thump the glass. Is the shock sensor one of downside to this Viper model?   Any ideas how to address this? cj

Shock sensors normally don't work well on metal, well with dei anyway, attach to a plastic duct somewhere in the centre high up in the dash if you can, or on a ralatively large wire harness, this is the drawback of buit in shock sensors that i so dislike you sometimes can't hide the brain where u want to because the shock sensor won't function as it should if all else fails an offboard is in order.

Well i have this alarm myself and i need to adjust the shock sensor. But the shock sensor doesn't do much for thumping the window and are not really supposed to. If you want something for your windows get the glass shatter sensor

Really buisnnessman123, i beg to differ with all my inexperience, i personally have an on board shock sensor that is adjusted and located so perfectly it senses all windows.

I've had tons of issues with on-board shock sensors - they just plain suck.
