If the alternator has a built in regulator, you have what you have.  An external regulator will help nothing.

vcm?
If it's mech, it can be adjusted.
You could also add a series diode to its sense line - though maybe only if it's electronic.
The diode forward drop will be added to the output voltage.
EG = 0.6V for 14.6V output (probably too high).
Or Schottky diodes for ~0.3V upwards; Germanium diodes for 0.2V etc.
Diodes are usually only 5c to 20c each, though I know where you can buy a 5c diode (or two) mounted in an ATS/blade fuseholder for a mere AUD$45 jeep grand cherokee wiring - Last Post -- posted image. jeep grand cherokee wiring - Last Post -- posted image. jeep grand cherokee wiring - Last Post -- posted image. to boost electronic regulators.
