I understand the xk01 is known to have problems. but i havent seen this one yet. i've got the xk tapped into the #2 pin at the obd2 connector. i've got it tapped into power and ground as well. these are the only connections i've made. the unit is loaded with AMDL firmware 6.0 red light is constant then i turn the key, the unit should blink it's vehicle type but it just remains constant. after multiple tries i had the module wiped and programmed again. i was able to get it to flash and set it to type 4 then turned the key off. after that it just remains constant and will not respond to any combo of key on's and button pushes. what should i do with this thing?

as far as the module goes, i would try to contact the seller you bought it from and see if you can get it exchanged.

unless the module needs more wires hooked up??

For GM vehicles (types 1 to 4), the LED will not flash; it will stay

ON solid. You will need to use the key and start the vehicle to turn the

LED OFF and complete the programming sequence.

The above is a note from the install guide. If you can get it to lock in the #4 mode the LED should come on solid. then release the program button and start the car with the key and the LED should go out. It is then programmed.

Also are you using D2D or W2W? The xk01 is older technology and D2D has been an issue with it
