Solution for Sub Thump at Turn On?

So i have a possible solution to the turn on thump that i have been having with my cheap ass ma audio amp.  It has nothing to do with the remote line as i have discovered and is something on the speaker lead side of the amp.  So i think i have a circuit that will use the loud thump to turn on my subs.  The loud thump of the subs would trip the first relay sending 12v from the remote wire to trip the second relay.  when the second relay trips it will latch and send the speaker signal from the amp to the subs.  Once i turn off the car it will kill the stereo and the remote line which will kill this circuit.  Does this sound like it might work?  i am worried that the relay would bleed over voltage on to the speakers.  Just an idea i will try and get a drawing up here soon.

Exactly what are you trying to do here> Eliminate the Thump?>Turn on another Amp?>

If you want to get rid of the thump you need an ON Delay circuit that will switch the load (Speakers) on after the Amp is full On.

I bought a component originally to delay the amp turn on because I thought it was the head unit feeding the amp dirty signals. It was a 2.5 second dela but it still thumps after it turns on with the delay. So I am attempting to make a circuit using what I have on hand to usethe thump to turn on the speaker. Basically I was thinking the would be thump would trigger the relays and turn on the amp to sub lines preventing the thump. If that makes sense. I can use the delay circuit to delay it if the thump is still audible after therelay install.

Okay think about it. you are trying to get rid of the thump. But, you need the thump for your circuit if you can figure out how to get it to power up a relay to get rid of it's self. Ummmm ???

What did you buy?

I bought the david navone delay module that takes a signal and delays it 2.5 seconds.  i have tried all of the things i can think of to solve the thump issue and with what i have ( turn on delay and some relays and basic car stereo install stuff) this is the best circuit i could come up with that i feel would take care of the problem.  i am pretty sure it will work i was just wondering if the circuit looked like it would be safe to do.  i will wire this up here in the next day or so and report back.
