basic car alarm

Vehicle: 2003 Pobtiac Vibe Power Locks: NO Power Windows: NO Existing Remote Starter: YES I just purchased an alarm system, and am pretty familiar with how to install it, except for one (or two) things... It came with a relay - I'm not sure if this was included for the central lock system (which I don't have, and would make the relay useless), or the Ignition/power-off circuit. If this is the case, I'm wondering if the existing remote starter system should already have this relay in place?? How do I connect to the "Engine Power Off Circuit?" I basically have a single yellow wire coming from my main alarm unit, and the instructions tell me that this wire connects to the Engine Power Off Circuit, and there is a poorly done diagram of what appears to be a relay or switch of some sort, which I'll briefly describe:    There is a picture of a battery (I think). The positive side has a green wire coming out, and it's connected to a switch. The switch goes to a "+12V", then a White wire, which goes through something, which is then connected to that yellow wire in the Alarm unit. Anyone??? Help would be VERY appreciated!!

The relay is most likely for the starter kill which I guess is what they are calling the "engine power off circuit." What is the make and model of the system, or do you have a way to upload the diagram.

I'm not sure of the make/model, as it was installed when I purchased the car used, but I'm now starting to think that the relay that was included with the alarm, would be for vehicles without an existing remote starter installed? Seems to me the current remote starter should already have a cut-off installed (for when the brake is pressed), and I may just have to tie on to that connection... Does that at all make sense? I wish I knew more about my own vehicle...

Assumption can be the mother of very expensive problems. 1) How do you know there's a starter cut on the original R/S. 2) Make and model of the original R/S please. 3) From your description of the alarm's starter/ignition* break relay diagram, I would bin it, it sounds like a (Chinese fleabay) POS. 4) Yellow wire on alarm goes to 86, GWA from alarm goes to 85 and don't forget the diode. 5) Clutch switch jumper has nothing to do with a starter cut. * Don't EVER do an ignition cut it's a real no-no.
