Hi, I am trying to wire another DEI blue Led to the one that came with the Viper 5701.  But Im having trouble.  This alarm has the led built into the antenna with the valet switch too (control center)  The wire for the led is a pink wire that is run together with the antenna 4 pin harness but branches out to a single harness which is plugged into another slot on the other side of the brain.  I know you have to wire the led's in series but this one confuses me.  How do I go about wiring this up.  Is the black wire in the antenna harness the ground for the led since the pink wire is the only wire going into the harness, even though it is a 2 pin harness.

Use a 1000 Ohm resistor in series with the new LED.  Connect the resistor to a constant 12 volt source.  Connect the other end of the resistor to the LED positive wire.  Connect the negative lead of the LED to the Status Output, or Ground out While Armed wire of your alarm.  Some of the hands on guys will be able to tell you the color of this wire.

Hey, thanks for the super quick response i am an idiot.  But is there an easier way than that.  Or because of that new design dei made (control center) you have to wire it the way you suggested.
