1999 dodge ram autopage remote starter.

I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 and a recently purchased autopage C3-RS-603 I will begin installation in a few days but i have 1 question before i start and may have more after i start. According to this chart https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/93.html I need to use an additional relay to tie into The started wire with my remote start system. Is this correct?

Neither DEI nor Audiovox show an additional relay requirement for that starter wire. I can't recall ever needing one in a 99 Ram either. The truck does have two accessory wires that need to be energized but only one standard starter wire. Head over to Audiovox's Tech Site and sign up for a free account. They offer their wiring information for free. I always check multiple wiring charts from every source I can before starting on a vehicle I have not yet done. Wiring charts are for reference only and all circuits need to be verified with a DMM prior to hooking in.Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Also what is the best way to tie into a wire?

2 accessory's? are you sure about that? im showing 2 ignition wires but only 1 accessory.

DEI shows the BLACK/ white as accessory...Audiovox lists it as ignition. As always, verify all wiring with a DMM before hooking up anything.Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Alright. How do i verify a wire as being accessory or ignition with a multimeter? Is there a method of how to test wires?

Ok, i got it all hooked up. it works great, But now my check engine light is on and the autopart store says there are no codes to read.
