For my 1996 Dodge B3500 van, it says there is a 16 pin connector above the brake pedal with a yellow wire for the door trigger. I don't see the connector there. Anyone know where this wire may be?

Maybe I can just tie into one of the dome light switches in the door jamb?

Yes you can tap the door jamb switch and that will work fine.
