Looking for some suggestions, I installed a compustar 4200 into my nephews 2006 Torrent about 4 years ago and recently the vehicle will not start when the temperature gets to cold. The issue I am having is the truck compustar does not give me any parking light flashes for diagnostics (error code). The truck tries to start 3 times, each time running for about 3 seconds or so before shutting down. My original thought was the bypass module but in observing, the theft light does not come on during or after the starting sequence.

If I can remember I installed a fortin passlock-sl2 and has been fine for years. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Once again this only happens when it is very cold. Thank you in advance

are you hooked up tachless or have a tach? also on the older equinox/vue i have always had problems with many different interface units(ala h-3 colorado/canyon) and only only wire up the old fashioned way with 2 relays, and if i remember correctly those vehicles dont always light a security/theft light when starting to verify if the passlock is even there/working, i would a) if tachless hook up a tach ,and/or switch out interface mod for 2 relay configuration

Hi and thanks for the reply. I did a hardwired tach connection on the vehicle. I think I might try either reprogramming the passlock or trying a new module to see what happens.

Very interesting about the theft light, I have always had it come on if there was a theft system problem

 Thanks again for the reply
