why would you want multiple 12v sources? or are you just depecting the battery being the supply for the cig port?
I'm assuming a few things here, that you want to be able to run these lights with the acc/ign on and off, and you are comfortable with wiring.
the easiest way-
run the cig adapter to the switch, then to the lights.
you're in essence wiring the 2 strips in parrallel, so yes, they should have virtually identical output (at least an identical power input) if there is any difference in the lighting, it will be from the lights themselves, but I highly doubt there will be.
the cleanest/safest way-
hack off the end of the cig adapter, wire in a fuse on the + wire, and wire it straight to the battery (or any constant 12v source really, as there is minimal dray from the led strips...though straight to the battery would eliminate the possibility of any kind of interference/shorting of on board circuits if things go bad)

I suspect swap the power & out of the switch - make sure you aren't shorting +12V to GND.
