I installed a remote starter in an 08 Jetta and i used an avital 4103 and a DBALL as well as a 556U. The only issue i have is that the customer said that when they remote start the vehicle and open the door the car shuts off. The car starts fine and everything but just that issue. Any one have that issue and the if so how can i fix it. The car is automatic just in case. Thanks in advance.

Did you connect the door trigger off the jetta to the 4103? The dball mainly gives you convenience features. Did you change the setting on the last page to disabled????

-Takeover
DISABLE (shutdown when door is open)
ENABLE ***

2.In 60 seconds open the door and press the brake.

you have to disable it.... look at last page of paperwork. page 21

im sorry it may have been programmed to disabled...need to enable it?? or is it the other way?? wording confusing now....
