I've searched this forum for help with my problem with no luck. If this has been addressed previously, please forgive me and point me in the right direction.
Here's the deal... 2001 Tahoe with Autopage C3-RS-603 connected to an Idatalink ADS-ALSL-GM bypass via the RS-232 cable (not the multipin plug). At this point, the Bypass will recognize the RS unit, the Bypass will accept programming from the BCM, and the RS unit will learn the Tach from the Bypass/BCM. My problem is, NOTHING happens when I press the remote start function on the transmitter. The lock/unlock function works perfectly with flashing lights/horn feedback, etc. But not even a flicker when I try to remote start. Does the RS unit require that function to be "turned on"? I've gone through all of the feature programming as described in the installation guide, but no luck. Any thoughts? (other than I have no business doing remote starter installs...)

Does this unit have a provision for a Neutral safety switch connection?? The DEI units have this with a toggle switch. Goes to ground when the switch is on...

The wiring info from this forum lists the neutral safety switch as "NOT GROUNDING TYPE" and "OEM SWITCH OPENS STARTER CIRCUIT"... I'm guessing I need to ground out the neutral safety wire from the RS unit?

Every neutral safety switch I've seen has needed to be grounded. Ground it and see if it fixes the problem. It is just a shut down input so it will not hurt anything to ground it. Also check your hood pin and make sure it is not grounding out.
