Ref: pts 760 diagram, thanks for posting, but as a precaution, where you split the unlock wire, I'd also diode the branch to the relay.

No luck. Those were not the steps for a Sport Trac. I'll keep searching, I'm in no hurry to install it anyway.

8 diodes and 4 10k ohm resistors will fix all your problems no need to turn of the gem

Actually, if you use the diodes as in DEI 1076 you won't need the resistors.

I tried the 1076 setup it didn't work for me. I had weird readings still and the gem (vsm in my case) would cause false alarms when it went to battery save mode. I had to go by DEI 1453 with resistors and making them a (+) trigger for it to work.
When in doubt....kick it!
