I installed a compustar 6200 last fall, everything was fine till now.
The trunk release and remote start functions no longer work, there is no clicking nor flashing from the parking lights.
Strangely the lock and unlock features still work, however the parking lights do not flash for those functions anymore either.
Tried both remotes, still same result.
I just checked the fuses and they're all fine, just wanted to know your thoughts before I start opening and unraveling things.
Car: 95 Nissan Maxima, automatic.
All the connections were soldered securely.

Did the car recently need a jump start or have the battery disconnected for whatever reason?
Those Compustar units like to go into valet mode when they lose power or get low power levels (like a weak battery).
I'm not sure about the part with the trunk not working, but if you have no remote start and no light flash, it's probably in valet.
I forget how to take it out of valet, but I think if you turn the ignition on and then press the button combination that's listed on the back of the remote that should do it, or refer to the owner's manual.

Sounds like you're in valet mode, check your instructions for removal.
Is your LED on constantly?

Oh wow, it was in valet mode. I've never used it before and my unit doesn't have a status LED so that's the last thing I would've thought of.
Just had to tap lock and trunk buttons at the same time to disable it.
Thanks guys, you saved me from unraveling all the wires and possiblely buying a new brain.
