If you reset it as Lurch suggested and have tried several times to program it and all the wires are installed correctly, you may need to consider another bypass module.
I've used Fortin INT-SL+ with great success on Park Avenue, LeSabre and other GM cars. Also, if you can get someone to flash it for you, an idatalink ADS-DL, ADS-AL-CA or ADS-ALSL-GM will work great.
I'm sorry to say that if nothing else is working, you may need to switch to another module.

Ditto with shortcircuit161 on the time for a new bypass, your initial wiring issue of putting 12v to the data wire probally fried part of the bypass. As the data side is a 5v system in a bypass. Did the bypass come with instructions other than the one you downloaded? If it did, did you cross check the wiring between the two?

Hello,

I need a new interface bypass module for my 03 park avenue. I want it to

detect ignition, tach, door locks, and trunk. It needs to be reasonably priced,

loaded with software, good instructions, and be reliable. Anybody have any

ideas on which unit, and where to buy it?

XK01 is bullet proof and you can pick them up on ebay cheap and have it flashed at a local shop for free if they want to charge just go elsewhere or other online retailers for a little more already flashed to AMDL v.6.00.

My personal preference is always iDatalink and 2nd is Fortin. You will pay a little more than an XK01 but their modules work the first time, every time. I am honestly so disgusted with DEI bypass modules, I don't even look their way anymore.
x2 with the iDatalink ADS-AL CA or ADS-DL. Their modules need a dealer account to flash it with the correct firmware for your vehicle. Most places you can buy them from will also flash it for you at no extra cost.
From Fortin, you can get the INT-SL+ which looks just like the DLPKGM and works great for your vehicle. Fortin was the creator of that module and works awesome. It's also a self-learning module so there is no need to flash it to use it.
