Hello everyone! It has been a while since I've posted here. I need some help.
I just purchased a new 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab with Uconnect 8.4N with Alpine system. It has and 8 inch factory subwoofer in the rear seat.
I plan to make a fiberglass enclosure and add a 10 inch DC lvl 2 sub with a Crossfire XP1400D mono amp. I removed the factory sub and enclosure and used wire taps to connect to the wires that connect to the subwoofer.
What I don't know is which wires to connect the LOC too. I was hoping someone could tell me a way to test which factory wire is pos and neg or does anyone have a 2013 sub wire diagram for this vehicle (doubtful).

Do you have the OEM speaker? If not, use the light color wires as positive. If you have the speaker and you are using it as well as the aftermarket subs, do this. Get a 9volt battery and attach speaker wire to the terminals of the battery. Unplug the wires from the OEM driver. Touch the 2 speaker wires to one set of terminals, if the speaker moves toward the cabin of the vehicle, you have applied positive voltage to the positive terminal of the speaker. Notice which speaker terminal had the positive terminal of the battery connected to it. Mark this terminal as positive, then notice which wire connects to that terminal.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
