This amp shows that it puts out 4x70watts at 4ohm 4x90watts at 2ohm 2x180watts bridged at 4ohm My question is, can I run 2 channels a 2ohm (which will give me 90watts per channel) AND Bridge the other two channels at 4ohm and get 180watts to run the sub, which I will use the high pass filter at 60 and use a 5.3myh coil so that all I am getting is 60-120hz thru is as I am currently missing some midbass, that I want this 8" to catch Please advise2004 Hyundai Sonata

So the filter/crossover thing was correct too? Which way would be best! The low pass RCA type before that channel on the amp or the coil type between the amp and the speaker ?2004 Hyundai Sonata

Crossover before the amp is always better. Do you have a High Pass Filter on your radio?   If so, run it as low as you can, and set the low pass filter of the amp at 120. A crossover before the amp limits what the amp sees. A coil or a capacitor only limits what the speaker plays. With a coil or a capacitor, the amp is still producing the full spectrum of audio that the cap and coil block from the speaker. An electronic crossover only sends the frequencies you want to the amp. Thus makes more effective use of the amplifier.

Why does it seem like all the multi channel electronic crossovers are manufactured by the "conglomerate" guy and of the brands I really do NOT want represented in my system? I have decided to go with the FMOD inline RCA type low pass crossover before the amp2004 Hyundai Sonata

Most systems are bi-amplified. Every amp built today has a crossover built into the amp. Most radios have crossovers built into them as well. In a bi-amplified system, either the amp or radio crossovers can handle this. It has been several years since any of the reputable companies have built a crossover or an equalizer.

So am I to assume that the crossovers out there may split the frequencies but may also take away from my system, like adding noise and such? I did see one by Clarion?2004 Hyundai Sonata
