led lights problem

08 lincoln mkz with shadow lights installed in all 4 doors. The shadow lights are connected 2 the courtesy lights. When the courtesy lights turn off they do not turn back on. If I manually turn the switch on the dash for the interior lights off and on 5 to 10 times they will come back on. Once they go off same problem. If I disconnect the shadow lights the courtesy lights work fine. How do I get the shadow lights to work with the courtesy lights?

are the shadow lights aftermarket?

Yes. They are the ones that show the logo on the ground when you open the door.

Have you used isolation diodes?

Had a relay installed. Works fine now.
