turbo timer without timer for 05 f350

Hi, I'm looking to try and figure out how to wire up (make/create) a turbo timer just with out the timer feature (esentially a delayed run circuit, using 4 or 5 pin relays) for use when loading a car or something on my trailer I can leave the truck running (so I can use the winch) without having my keys in the cab (safety precaution). From what I am figuring I can use one of the following relay diagrams to make this hsppen. If anyone has any advice or suggestions for me I'd be open to hear them. + I/O https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram52.html - I/O https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram21.html I believe the pos(+) version is what I'd be using, Figured I ground one of the relays to the brake pedal so if someone jumps in the truck when they hit the brake pedal it kills the engine. You need to do some research before you attempt this. There are some vehicles that if you only power the Ignition wire you can damage transmissions or other vital components. I think you really need to invest in an actual remote start unit. They all have what is called the Pit Stop feature. With the vehicle running, you use the remote start to start the already running vehicle and then remove your key and the truck will continue running for the remote start cycle. When you get back in the vehicle, just turn the key to the run position before you hit the brake pedal, and the truck will continue running.

oh, ok I have a Compustar cm6000 9000SS system in the truck but never heard of this "Pit Stop" feature, I just wanted something that I could press the momentary button and remove the key and not have a timer shut it down while I was using it. Do you know of any sites I can findout about this. theo nly thing I could find via google search when I first strted looking was how to make a turbo timer with a circuit board, resistors, capacitors, and some 555 thingy; or somethnig like that, It wasn't what I was looking for so I didn't read too much into it.

Try the pit stop thing.

or see if the Compustar unit has a slave/timer start input and add a push-button to activate said input...if you want a switch on the dash.

Compustar PitStop on the CM6x00 unit. 1. Vehicle running. Shifter in Park. Foot off Brake Pedal. 2. Press and hold Compustar Start button 2.5 - 3 seconds. 3. Wait for Parking Lights to flash and come on solid. ( 2 -3 seconds ) 4. Remove key. Vehicle will continue to run for programmed remote start time ( typically 15 minutes )Soldering is fun!
