Having an issue with the backup battery making the alarm go off when I r/s the truck(2004 f-150). Remote says "trunk open" because of the negative trigger from the 520t. Is there a work around for this?

I read the 520T installation and description. I'm wondering if there is a voltage drop on the red wire to the 520T during cranking that is interpreted by the 520t as "battery is disconnected"?
One possible work-around could be to use a relay to interrupt the 520T blue wire when a remote 2nd status output(H2-blu/wht) is present.
