I'm using an evo all as a stand alone remote starter in my G37. When it's remote started and i unlock the car with intelligent key or button on door and put key in the house and go back to the car it does not complain there is no key and I can drive off. I thought it should shutdown during take over if no key present.

what happens when you don't use the key to open the vehicle, like reaching through the window to unlock/open the door?

The car turns off if I reach in and unlock it.

It will beep and let you know no key. I don't think the EVO does it that way. It seems once you unlock with the button on the door or the key fob (once EVO sees unlock signal) it will continue to run and not complain. I think it is by design that way.

The DB-ALL has a feature called EIPS where it will check for the key and either start honking the horn or just shutdown if it's not detected within so many minutes, I looked at an evo-all manual and didn't see anything similar but I never use them either so maybe it has similar feature...

Fortin and ADS could easily of added the EIPS feature also, but that system may (or may not) present liability issues in the future. The car is built to leave the vehicle running as long as the key was in the car at start up. That's when it does it's "check". This prevents the vehicle from suddenly stopping because of RF interference or very weak battery in the factory FOB.
Now imagine this, your on a high speed chase, cops after you, all of sudden, car stops. That would suck! :) By factory, the vehicle manufacturer prevented this.
On another note, if the EIPS after a few years proves its strength, hopefully manufacturers will actually consider such a system integrated in their cars.
I'm sure DEI had no problems yet with their EIPS, and may or may not ever see problems with it. But.. i dunno, manufacturers would of already integrated by factory, something similar if they it as full fail safe.
