I have a viper responder 1 in the wifes 2013 mazda 3. Its in virtual tach mode. I know not good. Its been working fine forever. The battery died and i installed a new battery and reset the brain. Now the car will crank for .1 of a second. Im going to run a tach wire this weekend and see if that fixes it. If not does anyone know if the avital 4113 brain and the reponder 1 brains are the same? Thanks

You can only adjust virtual tach with a bitwriter. What do you mean by reset the brain? Virtual tach is automatically learned.

The car does not have over crank protection . The voltage with the new battery is higher so the brain thinks it's running . I'm just gonna install the tach wire Saturday . Hopefully it takes care of it .
