Hello,
I'm having some issues getting to program mode with a Compustar FT7200. So here's the parts list:
Compustar Slice RF-2W940-SS
Compustar FT-7200S
IDATALINK Blade ADS-AL
These are installed in a 2012 Acura TSX. I was able to program the remotes without issue. I'm trying to change the double pulse unlock feature, but I can't seem to get the unit into programming mode. I've followed the included manual where you hold lock and unlock for 3 seconds, followed by doing it again. Then you tap the Key button 4 times, waiting between each button tap for the parking light flash. After the third button tap, it flashes 3 times. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks,
Wayne

Is this the option you're trying to program?
1-04 Double Pulse Unlock:
FO1 - Off: (default)
FO2 - Unlock: This option will provide a double pulse output only for unlock each time the CM7
executes the unlock command. (Length of output time will be based on feature 1-02 option settings.)
FO3 - Lock: This option will provide a double pulse lock output only for lock each time the CM7
executes the lock command. (Length of output time will be based on feature 1-02 option settings.)
FO4 - Lock and unlock: This option will provide a double pulse lock output for both lock and
unlock each time the CM7 executes lock or unlock commands. (Length of output time will be based
on feature 1-02 option settings.)

If so, you can only program that feature using the OP500 programmer or by reflashing the unit via the iDatalink website.

Say what? It's not in the Special Option Group so it shouldn't need a OP500.
Does Compustar have programming lock?

Duh! My bad. I forgot you can use the remotes for programming options as long as they're not in the Special Options group. I've never programmed them that way though. In the handful of Compustars I've done, I've always programmed my options using the Compustar/iDatalink website.

No, no programming lock like DEI products.  As mentioned, Option Groups 1 through 4 are programmable with the 4 button remotes.  Special Option Groups need the OP-50 programmer.  Like ShafferNY mentioned, it's easier to set the program options while online.

Here is a link to the full FT7000-AS install guide.  It has instructions for making program changes via the remotes :

Soldering is fun!

@shafferny - That is the programming option that I'm trying to change. I'm having a difficult time with the 2 way, 4 button remote. I've tried programming it multiple times to no avail.
I'm going to borrow an 1 way 4 button remote and see if I have any better luck.

I bet you are not waiting long enough.. the lights will flash 4 times quickly to let you know you are on option 4... then press button 2 to get double pulse unlock..

Maybe it is a timing issue. I hold lock and unlock for 3 seconds and get 1 flash. I immediately follow this with lock and unlock for 3 seconds and I get 1 flash. I tap the key button once, get 1 flash. I repeat this two more times. Immediately after this, it flashes 3 times. I must be doing something wrong.
